About the Event

What is A Spoonful of Sugar?

A family-friendly fundraiser rooted in tradition and community while supporting our library. Baked goods and raffle items are donated by individuals and local businesses on Saturday. Everyone comes to eat, play and enjoy on Sunday!

  • Games, raffle, cake walk and bake sale for all ages.

  • Free games for children with sweet prizes

  • Relax and enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon.

Whether you come to play the raffle and Cake Walk or simply sit back, enjoy desserts and watch the children play, contributing to A Spoonful of Sugar is your choice to enjoy make a meaningful difference in our community.

DONATION ITEMS: HOW-TO

We welcome both home bakers and business bakers to help make A Spoonful of Sugar successful and fun!

Here’s what we need:

  • Cakes, baked goods, raffle items

    Baked Goods: clearly labeled items. Per Florida Cottage Law, all consumables must be labelled with your name, address, phone and all ingredients.

  • Raffle Donations: We are seeking donations for our raffle! Small prizes, gift baskets, quality handicrafts, antique curiosities, gift cards/certificates are welcome (No books unless first edition please) our next sale is in June.

  • Pledge first: To help us plan space and avoid last-minute rushes, please pledge by March 28 using our Donate/Pledge buttons here.

    Drop-off

  • Saturday, April 11 - Raffle Items & Baked goods with a shelf life. 8:30AM-4:00PM (Puryear Community Center)

  • Sunday morning, April 12 Freshly baked perisha 8:30AM-1:30PM (Puryear Community Center) *we do not have refrigeration

  • Check-in details will be provided as you pledge
